Danish students go space – the first Space App Camp Copenhagen!
For the first time the Danish Agency for Science and Higher Education is sponsoring a space app camp for students to build mobile applications based on satellite data. The one week coding-event will be held at IT University of Copenhagen on 13-17 August 2018. Students from all Danish universities are encouraged to apply.
The selected participants will be provided with access to satellite data from the European Earth observation programme Copernicus for the development of mobile applications. A dedicated API will make it easy to integrate Earth observation data into Android/iOS apps.
Experts from Ramani, as well as COWI and DHI-GRAS will help students shape their app in four predefined topics: climate change adaptation, digitized agriculture and food production, wave and tidal monitoring, and air quality monitoring.
The deadline for applications is 15 June 2018.
The space app camp is organized by AZO, IT University, Infinit, and Ramani in collaboration with COWI, DHI GRAS and the European Space Agency (ESA).
